New toys

I am a hairdresser by trade so i understand how expensive a pair of scissors can get. When it came to purchasing sewing scissors i had always just settled with what ever i picked up cheap. Last week as i was "Hacking" at some fabric i resolved to buy a pair...especially after i requested that hubby might like to sharpen a pair for me and it only made them worse.
I bought the most expensive pair from "spotty", which was still a long way off buying a hairdressing scissors, and i am now cutting with ease and a whole heap less of hacking going on. These scissors now accompany my new pin cushion as my favorite sewing accessories and am super excited to have them keep me company on my sewing adventures.

Thanks to my Mums scouting i also have a second hand overlocker heading my way..imagine all the "Sweat-shop" inspired garment i can do now!!


The picture next door is of my new favorite sewing box. It is vintage and i paid too much for it but look at its legs!! I have never seen one with legs before! Its cute and i adore it.
