My Creative Space

The apron swap started as an idea from this lovely site.
My swap partner is Becasaurus. The aprons brief was "the more fifties house wife the better" and it was allowed to be slightly off centre. I wanted to have a go at frills so my original idea for making it out of neck ties was thrown out the window.
I picked my pallet....and set out on a design...i tried to follow a free pattern from spotty which included an instructional on frills which greatly confused me ...so i made up my own.

And Taaaa Daaaaaa!!!
Hope you like it Bec....x

I have also been back on the crochet and made this little tunic top for the G Myster. I have finished some other ones...i will get pictures of them before next creative space day.
Last year i made one of these from a pattern...it turned out HUGE! So i kept the same design of it and went forth on my own. I was going to line it with fabric but because i used single crochet it ended up being really thick..so i intend to leave it. It has a cute button on the back and a slit that makes it easy to get on and off. Hmm toastie for winter...especially a Tassie one.

Lovely creations...I totally know what you mean about the "big" crochet..I have a few patterns that will be downsized the next time I try because of this...Looks super cute!
your apron is so much fun. I am so impressed at your ability to make up your own crochet pattern - and for a boy too! Am always on the lookout for things to make my boy...

The apron is amazing - well done and that top is TDF - do you have a link or something to the original pattern - I have just started on the journey of crochet and love the look of this.
