LOVEly Banners (M.C.S)

This week i got busy on a banner for our fab Made with LOVE market.  Since this will be our fourth market we have not had time to gather lots of funds to put towards advertising and notifying the general public about how super cute we look when we dress up...oh and the cool stuff we sell of course!!!

So we got ourselves some supplies and set about making us some banners. We needed around four  to place in spots around town and we need to get them done ASAP. We all know that it takes so much to remind people to get up early enough  and get motivated enough for a visit. I know that on my weekend mornings i try really hard not to rush about and PJ's after 11 (....ok 12) is not unheard of.

We got some layers down to build on top of. We used spray paint  hand cut stencils and doilies on vintage sheets and curtains. Then the plan is to each take one home and build on them with textile medium, ink and applique.

I got to build on mine a little last night but i still have a lot of work to do...pheww to the girls that took one home each..there is NO way i could have done this on my own.

Still a few more layers to go on...i hope to have it finished by the end of the weekend.

Don't forget to pop over to Kootoyoo for more "My Creative Space Day" and go nuts with the craft stalking.

P.S BTW. what do you think of the new look for the blog?

Nice Banners! I must say I'm a fan of layered work like that.

I adore those banners and would love to see pics of them in situ!

It just goes to show what you can do with a little bit of creativity, paint and motivation - and they'll probably look better than bought ones would've done anyway!

Thanks for stopping by my blog - and take my word, burly doesn't necessarily equal beautiful!!
