Flea Market Finds

This is my first time participating in Flea Market Finds but regulars of my blog know that i kinda have a thing for vintage finds (shock and awe!!).
Today i picked up my buffet that will eventually end up in my sewing room filled with beautiful sewing goodness. I bought it because of the wonderful etched swan glass. As you can see one is now missing, part of the removal system my husband would say. Like the glass i am shattered about losing it. What do i do now? Does any one know if you can get these things replaced? Or do i just put in a plain clear glass? I was also thinking of maybe painting it white but now its home i am have second ideas about that too.....

Next are two items i picked up on my Gypsy adventures that i haven't had time to share with you. Together they cost me $3.20. Bargain. I  love the details on the tissue box cover and i am pretty sure the magazine rack is destined for the toilet or my market stall. Its still in limbo.

Stay tuned i have lots of posts for you this week....and i think one large one from this weekends Made with Love Market Bazaar.

That buffet is beautiful - I've no ideas about replacing the other door though, sorry!

Love your other finds as well.

Love the buffet! You could buy glass etching/frosting spray and make a stencil onto plain glass.
Love the tissue box cover and mag rack too, i'm pretty sure i have the small rubbish bin/storage container that matches the tb cover ! :)

Yes you can replace it. Trace the pic and cut out a stencil with contact and find a sandblaster. There is one in Cooee. They are quite cheap. The blue car shop near blueprint lighting.
cheers have fun setting up your sewing room. tam.

Oohh what gorgeous goodies!

I've seen a great tutorial on AntiCraft for creating your own etched glasses using an 'etching cream'. Perhaps you could follow the steps using a stencil of your lovely swan? The tutorial lives here:

going about the swan the frugal way, i'd trace the orignal swan, cut it out like a stencil, place it on a new glass window and spray it in with mist paint, so it looks frosted. no?
(pretty much as suggested above, i find) ;)
