Lust

I had this knitting book when i was a child and made multiple headbands out of stocking stitch from it...i was that cool. Recently i knitted again for the first time in years and this book came into my mind. I would love to hand it to my little girl when she wanted to learn. I came across the book on gemmipop's blog tonight and finally i could remember the name of it.
I figured i should pick up the needles again as Miss G had taken to "stealing" a scarf from childcare. She told Nan on pick up "that Mum had got it from Vinnes". Stealing and lying in the one sentence...not bad for a two and a half year old. I need to keep my vinnies eyes pealed for this one. No luck on Ebay....sad face.
Note: My Mum is the one who first gave me this book. She also reads my blog (God love her). The book has been safely found at her place. Yay go Mum!!!

I also had a scout for this amazing fabric. They don't make it any more and i was filled with jealousy when one of the Stitch n Bitch girls bought some in to use on our last weekend jaunt. It's all Australian labels. The a fore mentioned queen of amazing fabrics was applying the labels to singlets for her new bub to be. It looked fab and i am sure if i scored some i would be too dumbstruck to actually use it. Unfortunately no luck on Ebay with this one either...sad face.

Ah the thrill of the chase.....

Huzzah for knitting! I haven't done any in ages and ages. Maybe in the holidays? Hmm. Maybe.

P.S. Stocking stitch is hard! You did well to do it as a kid. I really struggle to do it. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

Oh my goodness!!!
I found this fabric in a charity shop a couple of weeks ago - there was a big piece of it, but a chunk had been chopped out. I took it up to buy it (no price on it). And the old lady WOULD NOT SELL IT TO ME!!! She said it was for display only. I said there was a chunk out of it. And she said thats why its for display only. ?? I've been back since, and its not there anymore. This was at a Lifeline charity shop - you'd think they would want to raise funds!? (can you tell - i wasn't impressed)

Oh my goodness, I used to have this fabric, in my naive craft days, but no longer have it (or in fact, know what I did with it). Jennie (comment above) that would have been really annoying!!
