Paper Bunting and Wheat Packs
This week I have been on my first teaching Prac - my first step to becoming an Art teacher. This is something I have wanted for so long and it just feels so right. I was born for that job.
The downside of Prac is that I haven't felt this tired since being pregnant with my little girl. My nightly making is starting to suffer but I have managed to churn out a few things. Early mornings - working all day and studying does not go well for my making...still worth it though.
Next week I have to supervise the schools cross country. The school I am working at lies on top of a hill and is renown to be FREEZING(!!) if there is snow about. I made these small wheat packs to go in my pockets should the day be dismal...I also made some extras for the market next weekend.
The second thing I have been working on are some hanging paper buntings - made from my lino prints, vintage music sheets, book pages and a bit of collage. Its been fun - they also will be at the market next week.
Now I have some market admin to get done so the other stall holders can stop freaking out about if they have a spot or not...sorry guys I've been busy...then hopefully I can get back in the sewing room this weekend.
Have a great one kiddies

We had our Athletics Carnival last week, the first day was 18 degrees and the second day was the coldest I've ever been (in Tasmania). One kid went to hospital with hypothermia (no matter how many times you tell teenagers to rug up, some of them just won't bloody listen!) I so could have done with those hand warmers!! We're lucky enough to have tea & coffee provided, but I'd suggest you take along a thermos just in case. Trust me on this, it will make all the difference!
I'm so chuffed you're enjoying prac, you very very definitely are made for teaching. I'm still holding out hope that you'll get to come have a prac with us one day!
Extra vitamins for the tiredness?
Good luck with your next market day.x
