I Saw the Sign....

This months Made With Love Bazaar was a great hit with so many new stall holders, new faces visiting the market for the first time and the most adorable blue sky winters day. I think we all had reasonable sales, fantastic experiences and I know we all enjoyed having Red Cow Dairies from Oldina selling their wares - OMG the BEST marinated chill and garlic fetta ever.
Make sure you look at Naomi's set of photos of the day.
With another market done and dusted and now I get to breath for a few weeks. Since finishing up work I have been super busy with my study, tying up loose ends in preparation to leave my volunteer work, and (of course) organising markets.
I have finished the Uni Semester and we will be having a mid-winter break from the market...so I am finally FREE to do - sew - la and drink tea at will! Wooo!

So I guess your wondering why I have all these pictures up with my brand all over it...that's because I have (nearly) finished (finally) a new market stall sign.
Since changing my name to rockMYroll I have been hesitant in spending more money and time on tags - business cards and branding till I knew that the name was for me. I feel an association with the name now and therefore I am quite happy to start to "brand" my stall.

To make the sign I started with some fabric medium and some acrylic paint to paint the words and the feathers on some old material. Then it was all pins, fabric, layers and a quick sewing to hold it together. Next I worked back into it with beads and some embroidery.
I still have a little hand sewing to so and perhaps some more layers - but I will let that evolve naturally.

I really like the fabric that I painted - with the feathers on it - to sew with. I should really make some up just for sewing projects in the future...I like it and it was a bit fun.
Now I'm going to go put my feet up...or do some house work...or sew...
I can do what I want!
