Thank goodness Summer is on the way again!!!

The Big Fancy Caravan is pulled from the shed and its winter hibernation. Two trips have already been taken -  but "local trips" only - one to Stanley and one to Beauty Point. These instagrams are from the beauty point trip. There was kayaking and lots of badminton - there was sun and lots of drinks.... sigh summer xoxoxo

I stayed on top of the water in a kayak but for some reason a few of our party decided it was warm enough for swimming - Ummmm folks it's Tasmania - In spring - it's still freezing.

 

This is how close our camp site was from the Tamar River - this instagram was taken from my camp chair. It was however slightly smelly at low tide and they have a huge puffer fish population - I have never seen anything like it and not sure that they may be a menace here now.

Inbetween water sports and wine there was some camping craft of course - I must admit I did not get a lot accomplished in the way of craft.

But my most recent project involves making these "Lanyards" - they are weighted and come on some lovely cording. Each is individual and fully unique - they are to be worn like an necklace and the height can be adjusted depending on the wearers preference. I have been making them as an extra for the market - even selling one or two last market - which made me happy.
