Kitch Kitchen

I wanted to share with you guys a favorite area of my house..the kitchen...where many a cooking creation is formed. It is decorated with some on my most precious finds.
Above you can see an eclectic hanging tea cup collection..that i actually use for tea parties. Obviously cake with friends has far less calories that cake by yourself...any excuse will do.
On top of the shelf is a coffee set with the most gorgeous flower prints on them, thrifted of course, and next to that is a tea cosy i crocheted from a vintage pattern i found on the internet.

In this area...Top shelf my old mixer stands proud in the centre, used until i mangled the beaters and bought a newy , not on display....surrounded by eclectic jugs and containers..possibly very dusty.
Second from top, old school canisters, even though i have enough istill find these very hard to walk past in op shops, i especially love the sponge, biscuits, cakes, white container. I've had it so long i cant even remember where i found it. The little brown one next to it is more recent says chips, snacks, nuts and matches the other in a funny way.

Third from top.....Retro bread bin with complimentary rust that nearly wasn't allowed in the house, tea drinking riff raff, including some other crocheted tea cosies (yes i did get that excited) and a chopping block that matched the bread bin.

Oh the cuteness of it all...feels like home.

what a lovely collection - i don't know if you'll think me weird or cute (hopefully cute, :)*grin*), but I actually bought something for YOU today at the vinnies in Wynyard! 2 tiny ramikens with a similar 70's floral pattern as your coffeepot, thought they would be good for dips or something?? Would you like them, I could drop them somewhere for you or post? :)

Hi Michelle, Thanks for your comment on my blog - thought I'd pop over to your blog to say "Hi".
I am sooooo very in love with your kitch kitchen and REALLY jealous you have cups to match the floral coffee pot. I only have the coffee pot and little creamer - but no cups :-(
I've been meaning to plan an op-shop trip to Tassie (good excuse for a weekend away) and looks like I definitely need to organise one asap looking at your fab finds! Lucy
