Obsessed with Tea Dresses
I got a lovely email last week saying that my Tea dress form Naughty Shorts is on its way. I would love it to arrive before we leave on our trip. Fingers crossed.
Thinking about what I would like to wear on our Gypsy trip and I really like the shape of these dresses except for sometimes they increase how wide you look. Maybe it will sit better after a wash and proper iron. I made my second Tea Dress with capped sleeves, I downloaded the pattern off Burda style. It was made out of a thrifted vintage sheet that was in very good condition. I cut the fabric so it emphasised a lighter panel in the centre and darkened towards the edges. I worked out how much this dress cost me in materials...I am pretty sure it is under three dollars. You have to love the op shops!!!
I have already finished another one but haven't gotten it photographed yet so I will save it for a later blog post.
Don't you just love going through your fabric stash, finding some material and realising just how amazing a bargain you got!! There would be enough fabric here for one to two dresses. Goodness!!
