MASSIVE

When i came home from caravaning i found this MONSTER in the garden. Probably not fit for eating but totally fit for playing with. I have not included the photo of my Husbands pose as you can imagine his maturity with a large vegetable..... Mr Bill Mollison suggested that his mum used to hollow out the middle and pack it with a stew and then further roast it. That may be the go if i have a small village came to my house for tea.

I thought i would miss out on all my hard earned veggies while away but i am still getting tomatoes and had to process a heap of beets into marmalade so they wouldn't waste. I added chilli to the mix this time. I am so into the sweet chilli flavors right now so i cant wait to give it a try. I also have some other stuff to pull out of the garden but it still needs a bit more growing. (damn crappy summer!). My herb spiral is way out of control in a good way and i have never been so successful with herb production before...so yay...go Permaculture!!!

Wow ..what a beauty, very clever..!! The best "marrow" I have seen for a while. Yes you can stuff them with anything you like, very yummy...

yes stuffing is one way to use them, another, suggested by my mum, was to make whiskey. i was only half listening but i think it involved hanging it up in a stocking and keep feeding it sugar. i turned my nose up, as any unappreciative daughter would!
