{Alice} duo

Poor Alice got a bit goth-like and needed a make over...so with a little bit of makeup i tried to cheer her up. Alice still looks angry but maybe not in a "slash your wrists" type way. I even think she is starting to look a bit glamorous maybe a smoldering 1940's? I can't wait to work on The Hatter and the rest of the bodies...and lets not even get started on the clothes!!

I have never made a doll before and i am learning along the way. I haven't researched any methods i have just been winging it. I thought i was doing a fairly good job till i came across this amazing work from another Tasmanian. ..you should really check her out...and i adore most of all this give-away doll..my favorite of the lot.

I also had to share this knitting picture i found on the net...it has to make you giggle a little...right?

Happy craft stalking day!!

Hi there, thank you so much for following my blog! I love making connections across the globe through blogging - we literally would never have met otherwise! You seem like a real crafty lady, can't wait to see how these dolls turn out! What sort of size are they going to be?

I love that you are winging it! Often I get bogged down on trying to do things the "right way", always conscious of not being allowed to make mistakes. I know I should have grown out of this, but it is part of my neurosis!
True, Alice is looking a bit dark, but geez...I wouldn't look like Pollyanna if I landed in her dream Wonderland! It would freak me out baby!
Love the knitting pattern.
