Linen Tea Towel Bags

Aren't these lovely - made from vintage linen tea towels and thrifted handles.
Sorry about the second photo but it was late and the light was bad, and I do like myself a bit of late night sewing.

I found a bundle of these handles in a thrift shop in Adelaide and quickly snapped them up as this was a project I had wanted to do for ages but refused to pay spot light prices for handles.

I sat on the project for a bit longer because I had to work out how to put in round bag handles into a square bag without drag and still looking pretty. To my surprise I had it worked out the first time I tried. I even used some french seams so that there is not one seam that can be seen inside or out.

I will be selling the bags on here (just comment sold) or at this weekends Made With Love Market for $35 each. I cant wait to set up my stall, I have so many new things to display and play with. Pop in if you are around the Wynyard area this Saturday, we would love to see you.

I have been thinking I should become a helpful sewing blog and give a tutorial on how to DIY bag handles. It took me a little while to work out the process so stay tuned for the tutorial.
